Obituary of Carol Ann Kennedy, Glace Bay
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and cousin, Carol Ann Kennedy on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at home with her loving parents at her side.
Born on May 18, 1988 in Glace Bay, Carol Ann was the daughter of Paul and Linda Kennedy.
She was predeceased by grandparents, Lena and Tom Phalen, Shirley and Paul Kennedy.
Carol Ann is survived by brothers, James (Kelsey), Michael (Miranda), Adam (Shelby), cherished nephews, Alex, Ethan, Carson and nieces, Isabell and Lena as well as her special aunt, Ann Phalen and many loving aunts and uncles.
She will be remembered for her joyful laughter and gleaming smile. She was a graduate of Glace Bay High School. Carol enjoyed most of all going for drives, outings with family and special family occasions. With the help of the Make-A-Wish foundation Carol Ann had made the trip to Disney Land with her parents and brothers which made forever lasting memories of togetherness. She had great joy watching her nephews and nieces play and grow, including trips to the wildlife park.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the ladies of New Waterford Homecare for their exceptional care, singing and laughter.
Donations can be made in Carol Ann’s memory to the Make-A-Wish foundation.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 25th, 2022 from 7- 9 pm followed by a funeral service on Friday at 11 am, all in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 16 Reserve Street, Glace Bay. Deacon Shawn Bigley officiating.
