Obituary for Carol Neathway
Carol Neathway, a lifelong resident of Petrolia, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Strathmere Lodge in Strathroy, in her 80th year. Carol was the daughter of the late Ted (1988) and Betty (2014) Neathway. She will be missed by her sister Joyce Seed (Gibson) of Strathroy, her brother Jim and Rosemary Neathway of Redwater, Alberta. She will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was predeceased by her brothers-in-law John Gibson and Rev. Charles Seed. Carol was a faithful member and Lay reader at Christ Anglican Church, leading Sunday Services when needed. She was an employee of C.E.E. hospital in Petrolia until her retirement. After retirement she continued to volunteer her time as a C.E.E. Board Member and was a voice for the community during the amalgamation of the C.E.E. with the Sarnia hospitals. Carol also influenced the lives of many local girls in the community for many years as the local Brown Owl for the Petrolia Guides and Brownies. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. from Christ Church Anglican, 414 Oil St., Petrolia to attend please register at signup.com/go/CUcLdhQ . If you are unable to stay for the service visitors will be received prior to the service from 12 pm to 12:30 pm please register at signup.com/go/vSoCFgq . Private Interment in Hillsdale Cemetery. As expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to C.E.E. Hospital Foundation (www,ceehf.ca) or Christ Church Anglican.
