Carol had strong faith in her creator and an adoration of the
natural world; she loved all God’s creations. Her
kindness was known to all and guided her to a career in later life as
an RN. Carol’s hands were forever moving and many
felt their warmth through a sip of her chowder, a warm roll, or being
lovingly cared for. Her legacy will continue through the many gifts
she created including kilts, quilts, mittens, hats, jewelry and
carvings, just to name a few of her many talents. From parade floats
to wedding dresses, to matching dresses for her girls, and outfits for
her grandchildren, Carol did it all.
Carol’s family wish to express sincere gratitude to
the staff at the Guysborough Memorial Hospital for the kind and
compassionate care of our mother. A casual celebration of
her life will take place at the MacIntosh family beach, 1420 Highway
344, Port Shoreham, NS on Saturday August 20th at 1pm. If it’s a
beautiful day bring your swimsuit, if it’s not, still do, as Mum would
say there is never a bad day at the beach.
Memorial donations can be made to the Guysborough Memorial
Hospital Auxiliary. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the
family at www.haverstocks.com
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Carol Elizabette MacIntosh 1939 2022..

Death notice for the town of: Guysborough, Province: Nova Scotia
Carol was someone I always thought of as being rock steady and super cool at the same time. I knew her as Jane’s mother first but got to work with her briefly, later in life, as a fellow nurse at Guysborough Hospital, and I don’t know about the patients, but I definitely felt a sense of security knowing she was there. Carol was a wonderful person and raised wonderful kids. I remember Jane coming to school one day in Grade 2 or something with this strange fruit called a kiwi – because Carol was the pioneer of culinary delights! I know you are all together and laughing and crying together and I know for sure you are all a comfort for one another at this time. Sending you all my love. xoxo
