Carol
Anne (Nelson) Strickland, 80, of Kentville, passed away after a brief
illness on Thursday, December 29, 2022 in Valley Regional Hospital,
Kentville. Born in Spring Hill, she was a daughter of the late Cecil
and Ann (Baker) Nelson. Prior to retirement, Carol
worked at the Bank of Nova Scotia for over 30 years. Her pride and joy
was her family. She loved spending time at the lake, doing crossword
puzzles and enjoyed knitting in her early
years. Carol is survived by her husband, Thomas
“Tom” Strickland; children, Mark (Kimberly)
Strickland, Michael (Janice) Strickland and Pam (Michael) Whiston;
brother, Leigh (Anne) Nelson; grandchildren, Danielle, Morgan (Tom),
Rachael (Daniel), MacKenzie, Nicole (Robbie), Courtney (Leslie), Jacob
and Sam; great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Camryn; as well as several
nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she
was predeceased by her brothers, Scott (Margaret) Nelson and Alan, in
infancy. Cremation has taken place. In keeping with
Carol’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral
service. A private family graveside service will be held at a later
date. Donations in memory may be made to the War Amps. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family
Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. On-line condolences
