Carol Ann Stevenson (née Hendsbee) passed peacefully at home on 22 October 2022 with her immediate family and best friend, Marlene, by her side. Left to mourn are her mother Lois (Rob) Dubuc, her children Joanne (Tom) Munroe, Melissa (Greg) Hadley, Joe (Jenna) Munroe, her stepdaughter Kimberley (Peter) Boudreau, grandchildren Victoria, Elizabeth, Alexandra, Thomas, Joshua and Lydia, and great-grandson Jayce Wallace. She is also survived by her sisters Lillian Hendsbee and Sharon (Jim) Pelrine. Carol is pre-deceased by her husband John, her father Allan Mahoney, and her dear sister Dianna Ronalds.
Carol was born and raised in Nova Scotia. While raising a young family she started her own business in the insurance industry. She continued her career as an insurance broker upon moving to Ontario and continued into her retirement.
Carol was an artistic and creative woman with many talents. She cherished gardening, cooking, canning, traveling, and spoiling her pets. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, in person and with those she connected with through FarmVille. She also volunteered with service clubs and the Royal Canadian Legion.
Burial will follow in Nova Scotia in spring 2023. Donations in Carol’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. For donations or messages of condolence, www.lougheedfuneralhomes.com
