Obituary
Peacefully at the North York General Hospital , Toronto on Wednesday February 16, 2022, Carol Canton (née Hunter) of Toronto in her 72nd year. Beloved daughter of the late Bette Isobel (1984) and Fredric Charles (1992) Hunter. Dear sister to Diane (John) Polak of Morrisburg. Cherished aunt of Christine Polak of Waterloo, Melissa (Corey) Cook of Richmond, Emily (Kennedy) Hong of Ottawa, Alex (Rachelle) Polak of Ottawa. Dearest great-aunt of Sterling and Xavier Reid, Mason and Tanner Cumming, Hunter Cook, Lauren and Martin Hong, Charlotte and August Polak. Close friend of Cheryl Morton and Greg Belfry.
Well known and loved in the Ontario insurance industry through her company “Insurance Brokers Rescue”, Carol was a kind and generous friend who lived life on her own terms without apologies nor compromise.
In typical and predictable fashion, Carol has requested not to have a memorial service. Friends and family will be contacted in the coming months for a reception in her honour this spring.
