Carl’s Obituary
Carl Roy Bursey was born on December 18th, 1959 in Embree, NL and passed away June 2nd, 2022. Carl left his loved ones peacefully at the age of 62 and entered into the arms of the Heavenly Father, whom he served his whole life.
Carl enjoyed life to the fullest. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and having a laugh with family and friends. Family meant everything to Carl, however you didn’t need to be related to be a part of his family.
Leaving to mourn are his wife he adored Clarice (nee Wight) of 39 years, sons; Jonathan and Andrew and grandchildren; Aaron and Kelly. He also is leaving behind his siblings; Christeena (Robert) Saunders, Sandy, Norma (John) Isho, Darlene (Clayton) Stickland, Eulah (Danny) Raike, Robert (Glenda) and Myrna (Wycliff) Goosney, mother in law Rosie, sister in law Helen, brother in law Howard (Caroline) and godson Christopher.
Carl is leaving so many people that held a special place in his life: his many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends, the Old Loft Restaurant girls and his church family.
Carl was predeceased by both his parents Enurchas & Joyce Bursey and his father in law Norman Wight.
Thank you to the ALS Society, the Palliative Care Team and the doctors who supported Carl during his struggle with ALS.
Donations can be made to the ALS Society or a charity of ones choice in Carl’s memory.
Visitation will be held at The Birchy Head Pentecostal Church on Sunday June 5th, 2022 from the hours of 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm also where the funeral service will take place on Monday June 6th, 2022 at 2pm with Pastor Tia Morey officiating, interment will follow at the family plot.
