Colleen Carey (Mente), 61, passed away at the Temiskaming Hospital on February 9, after a brief illness.
Born in 1960, Colleen attended Lakehead University in Thunder Bay where she met her future husband Michael, and began her career with the provincial government. Colleen worked for the Ontario Land Registry Service for 30 years, many of which were served in Temiskaming Shores. Colleen was an avid kayaker and cottager, learning to swim before she could walk, she loved nature her entire life.
Colleen is survived by her two sons, Matthew and Mitchell, as well has her brothers, nieces, and nephews.

  1. I once knew Coll for a while and she was a loving, beautiful, smart and funny soul. She’s been lost a way too early and will be greatly missed. RIP Coll
