Candy Lee Thompson 19662022

Candy Lee Thompson
1966-2022
After a long, courageous battle with cancer, Candy Lee
(Jones) Thompson passed away on July 19, 2022.
Candy was very fortunate to connect with a large group of
friends who became family and her loss will be felt by so many. She
was always thrilled to open her home every summer to welcome friends
to stay, relax, laugh, eat amazing food and remember what it was like
to be a kid again. Candy found joy in bringing people together in a
world that is increasingly separated.
Candy will be sincerely missed by her daughter, Emma Jones
(Dylan) of The Glades; her son, Scott Jones of Little River;
step-daughter, Amanda Reid (Wayne) of Fredericton; step-sons, Mark
Thompson (Eve) of Oromocto and Mike Thompson (Jennifer) of Edmonton;
her brother, Timmy Jones; her niece, Cindy Jones and several
grandchildren.
Candy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Mark Thompson.
Her and mark found each other later in life, but they packed a lot of
living in the years that they had. So many memories made, emotions
felt, experiences and lessons learned. He truly was the love of her
life. They brought together an extended family of wonderful people
full of love for each other.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Salisbury
Funeral Home. A celebration of Candy’s life will be held at
a later date. If desired, donations to the Friends of the Moncton
Hospital (Palliative Care Unit) would be greatly appreciated by the
family. Online condolences and donations may be made at www.keirsteads.com
