Campbell Alexander Douglas August 12th 2022

DOUGLAS, Campbell Alexander (1994 – 2022) –
It is with sadness, that we the Douglas family announce the sudden passing of our much-loved son, grandson, brother, nephew and friend to many, Campbell Alexander Douglas, a resident of Ingersoll, on Friday, August 12th, 2022, in Kelowna, British Columbia. Campbell was born in Ingersoll, to his caring parents Kirk and Fiona (nee Campbell) Douglas, of Norwich. Campbell was a dedicated employee with Lifeline (lighting systems manufacturing company). Campbell attended and graduated from St. Mary’s High School, Woodstock. Campbell is lovingly remembered by his brother Bowen Douglas, of Norwich and Bowen’s good friend Emily Serviss, of Woodstock and by Campbell’s good friend Natalie Serviss, of Woodstock. Caring grandson to Catherine (late James) Campbell, of Norwich; Donald (late Cheryl) Douglas, of Ingersoll. He will be greatly missed by his Aunt Kathy (Jim Eckhardt), of Naples, Florida; Uncle Brad (Nancy) Douglas, of Ingersoll; Aunt Shelley Douglas (Keith West), of Ingersoll; Uncle Alistair Campbell (Denise Aube), of Ingersoll; Aunt Janine Campbell of London; as well as by several cousins including Katie (Cameron Koczka), Stephanie Campbell (Todd Mills) and Brittany Denison and close friends Rodney and Lisa Lava. Predeceased by his Aunt Linda Campbell.
Campbell was one of a kind. His favourite pastime was playing golf and he loved listening to music and watching old rock videos. He loved his family more than words can express, and he leaves behind too many friends to list. He also had extended family in Scotland that held a special place in his heart. Campbell was known for his gregarious ways and his listening ear. He had a larger-than-life personality and loved taking care of people. He was generous to a fault and would always go out of his way to make occasions special. He had an amazing work ethic, often going above and beyond for his customers and his employers. His mind was always working, and his problem-solving skills were beyond the comprehension of many. Campbell would light up any room with his smile and people were automatically drawn to him. He would easily converse with anyone who was willing to speak with him, taking great care to learn about them and share stories that he knew they would find interesting. Campbell was a chameleon, and easily adapted to many environments. His passing leaves a very large hole in the lives, and words cannot express how much he will be missed.
Cremation has taken place. Public visitation and a memorial service to remember and honour Campbell’s Life will be held in Springfield Baptist Church (2471 Whittaker Rd.), led by Pastor John Twinem. Service dates and times will be announced via Campbell’s online tribute page at www.verhoevefuneralhomes.com. A livestream will be offered for those unable to attend. Access to a direct hyperlink can be requested by emailing verhoevefuneral@kwic.com or by accessing Campbell’s online tribute page (under photos and videos). All funeral attendees are invited to attend a reception in Springfield Baptist Church.
