Calvin Harold Saunders
– age 81, of Coldbrook, passed away on Saturday, March 5,
2022, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Berwick, he
was a son of the late Perry and Glennie (Mahar) Saunders. Calvin
worked at Scotian Gold, Atlantic Wholesalers and Larsons Packers. He
is survived by his wife of 62 years, Irene (Turner), Coldbrook;
daughters, Darlene (Greg) Eaton, Cambridge; Angela (Randy) Walsh,
Coldbrook; grandchildren, Justin Eaton (Kathleen Doherty-Eaton);
Hailey Walsh; great-grandchildren, Elliott and Austin; sisters, Lila
(Granville) Best, Coldbrook; Beulah (Meredith) Gates, North Alton;
sisters-in-law, Leitha O’Toole, Kitty Coleman-Aker; nieces,
nephews and extended family. Besides his parents, he was predeceased
by brothers, Keith and Lloyd; brothers-in-law, Aubrey
O’Toole, Ivan Coleman and Les Aker. Cremation has taken
place and there will be no visitation, by request. A private funeral
service will be held in the in the Cambridge Baptist Church, Rev.
Sarah Scott and Rev. Joe Gosbee officiating. A webcast of the service
will be available at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2022. Donations
in memory may be made to Carey-Me (supporting palliative care in the
home) or the Cambridge Baptist Church. Funeral arrangements have been
entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
