It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Calvin Fleming at the age of 71 years on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at the Bonavista Hospital.
If you asked a hundred people who Calvin Fleming was, you would get a hundred different responses. An Autobody repairer, a Car Enthusiast, a Diver. The list goes on and on.
Cal to his loved ones, his biggest role was that of a family man, father, and much-adored Poppy.
Cal is predeceased by his father, Clarence Fleming.
Left with broken hearts but beautiful memories; his loving wife of 49 years, Glenys (Gosse); two children; Chris (Michelle) and Derek (Jennifer); his five precious grandchildren, Abi, Grace, Evan, Marcus and Ivy; his caring mother Elizabeth; many aunts, sister in laws, brother in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and lifelong friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
The family would like to extend heartfelt appreciation to the many kind souls at the Bonavista Hospital for their compassionate care. All of the staff have provided excellent care to Cal and the family.
A celebration of Cal’s life will be held at Strathie’s Funeral Home, Bonavista.
In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to Eating Disorder Foundation of NL and Lab and /or Daffodil Place.
