C. Scott Russell – March 7, 1931 to October 11, 2022
Peacefully on Oct. 11, 2022. Dr. Scott Russell of Collingwood son of the late Alex and Jennie Russell of Oshawa. Much loved husband of the late Elizabeth Russell (Koch).
Dear father of Scott (Catherine Gregory) and Carrie (Brad Charlton). He was a much-admired Grandpa to Alex, Charlotte, Sam, and Spencer. We are so thankful to have been with Dad to say our good-byes. Scott was loved by all his nieces and nephews from the Russell and Pyette clans as well as his niece Sharon McKay and her husband Don.
Scott is survived by his beloved sister Margaret Pyette and her husband Jim as well as his younger brother Bob (Chris Russell deceased).
Scott was a founding physician at North York General hospital helping countless parents bring their children into the world.
He loved boats, skiing blue cruisers, tending his garden, and a good scotch. He loved us all. Special thanks to all those who cared for Scott including Ewa, Priyanka, and Barbara.
Memorial gathering and reception will be held at Blue Mountain Golf and Country Club, 706 Tenth Line, Collingwood ON, L9Y 5H4 11 am Monday October 24. Remarks at 11:30 am.
