Peacefully at the Riverview Manor, Montague, on May 14, 2022, the death occurred of Michael James Byrne, formerly of Byrne Road, aged 97. Beloved husband of the late Pearl (nee Connolly), and dear father to Gerard (Cindy), Mary Parkman (Lowell), David (Christine) and Earl (Michelle). Much loved grandfather – “Poppy” – to Darcey (Alice), Nick (Tracy), Josh, Michael, Katie (Tony), Randy (Kate), Ian (Isabelle), Patrick (Emily), Kelly (Harrison), Brenna (Michael) and Kevin. Great grandfather to Jackson, Viola, Michael and Mary Catherine. He is also survived by his brother Dan (Lorraine), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his wife Pearl, Michael was predeceased by his son William, and his siblings Mary Kelly (Patrick), Louis (Mae), Peter, John, Walter, and Emmanuel, as well as numerous members of the Connolly family.
Resting at the North Shore Funeral Home, Morell, for public visitation on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, from 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at St. Lawrence O’Toole Roman Catholic Church, Green Meadows, at 10:30 am. The interment will be held in the Parish cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made in memory of Michael to St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery Fund at the time of visitation or by etransfer to northshorefuneralhome@gmail.com.
