Obituary
Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital, June 28, 2022, Burton Ross Crittenden, aged 87 years.
Predeceased by his parents, Lambert and Margaret Crittenden, his dear daughter, Cynthia and sister, Viola.
Leaving to mourn are his loving wife of 67 years Joan; daughter, Catherine ( Edward) and son, Randy ( Elsie); sisters, Audrey, Betty, Marg, and Linda; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as a large extended family and friends.
Special thanks for all the kindness to the residents and staff of the Green Mountain Lodge in Norman’s Cove, where he lived for several years, as well as the residents and staff of Shag Rock Manor in Whiteway. Also many thanks to the professional staff of the Carbonear General Hospital, who gave him care and comfort during his last days.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 3 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at Warren’s Funeral Home, Dildo. A private inurnment will take place at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Burton’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (cancer.ca/en) or the Heart and Stroke Foundation (www.heartandstroke.ca).
