Bud Lewis Buxton 1930 2022

Bud Lewis Buxton was born on March 20, 1930 to William and Hazel (nee Gilbertson) Buxton at Hughenden, Alberta. He passed away peacefully at the Wainwright Health Centre on August 7, 2022 at the age of 92 with family by his side.
He farmed with his father on the family farm until 1962 when he purchased land and started his own ranch. This became Buxton Ranches and he actively farmed and ranched here for the rest of his life.
He was predeceased by his parents, William and Hazel Buxton, his brother Gary Buxton, sisters Geneva (Louis) Miller, Noreen (Louie) Delange, Lova (Rudy) Johnson and brother-in-laws, Ken Scott and John Wallace.
Bud is survived by his wife of 57 years Margaret (Wallace) Buxton, Children – Valinda Gardiner (Mario Charette), Burdette (Avis) Buxton, Shane Buxton, Jason (Jody) Buxton and Travis Buxton. Grandchildren, – Sheldon (Danielle) Buxton, Nathan (Brooke) Gardiner, Logan Gardiner and Tanisha Gardiner (Steven Olsen), Jessica (Brad) Plehnert, Brandy (Cody) Clarkson, Jayden Buxton (Reegan Jones), Jordan (Blake) Carey, Taylor Buxton (Rick Bilski), Kendal Buxton (Corbin Loesch) and Brandon Buxton. Great-grandchildren – Cassandra and Taliyah Buxton, Jack and Lark Plehnert, Callen and Kessler Clarkson, Bennett Carey and Kaison Bilski. He is also survived by his sisters Phyllis Scott and Kay (Gene) Campbell and brother-in-law Joe (Jo-Ann) Wallace along with numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Vetter, Dr. Turner and the nursing staff at the Wainwright Health Centre for the excellent care Bud received during his stay there.
