Mr. Bruno Hochheimer, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on November 19, 2022 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham, at the age of 83.
Born in Niederrad, Frankfurt Am Main, Germany on the 14th of February 1939, the 6th of 9 children born to Severin and Anna Martha (Bock) Hochheimer, Bruno immigrated to Canada in 1957, settling on Cape Breton Island.
After a year in the army, Bruno met Aircraft Woman 1st Class Marie Antoinette Anderson and they married in 1961 in Orangeville.
They relocated eventually to Chatham, then to Wallaceburg, where they raised three children, Heidi (Pat) McCarron, Christopher (Deborah) Hochheimer, and Andrew (Angela) Hochheimer.
In his lifetime, Bruno achieved so much. A talented carpenter, he turned his woodworking hobby into a retirement business. He loved fishing and camping and is the only person to ever canoe from north to south, and east to west, through Algonquin Park, solo. He loved SCUBA diving, and spent time underwater in Belize, Cuba and the Great Lakes. Along with his wife Marie and his children, he is survived by 10 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, four sisters, two brothers, and many nieces and nephews.
The late Bruno Hochheimer rested at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home, 639 Elgin Street, Wallaceburg.
Following his wishes, cremation has taken place.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Bruno Hochheimer February 14 1939 November 19 2022..
