Peacefully at Marianhill, Pembroke, on Monday September 19, 2022 at the age of 85 years. Bruce Laplaunte of Renfrew, loved father to Jeffrey Laplaunte (Maura), the late Bradley Laplaunte and the late Amanda Anderson Laplaunte . Grandfather to Ryan Laplaunte (Kim), and great granddaughter Hazel Laplaunte. Madison Laplaunte and Brett Laplaunte. Grandfather to Taylor Taylor (nee Anderson), (Paul), great grandson Cohen and great granddaughter Adelaide. Grandfather to Alicia Anderson Annis, (Jeremy) and great granddaughter Araya.
Former husband to Diane Barr.
Son of the late Lavina Wren (nee Bradley) and Henry and Elizabeth Laplante.
Brother to late Ken (Colonel) Laplante, late wife Frances Laplante (nee Culligan). Lee-Ann Stitt (Allan), Mervin (Muzz) Wren (Beverly), Patsy Wren, Pauline Markel (Paul), Mary-Ellen Jamieson (Wayne), Elizabeth Wren, Late Bill (Sam) Wren (Donna) and the late Helen Copestake (Erv).
Bruce will be missed by his many nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
A Celebration of Bruce’s Life will take place on Sunday October 23rd, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Renfrew Golf and Country Club, 1108 Golf Course Road, Renfrew Ontario, and on Sunday October 30th, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Gilchrest Funeral Home, 1 Delhi Street, Guelph, Ontario.
