BUTTERFIELD, Bruce:
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bruce Butterfield, 55, who passed away suddenly at his home on April 1st 2022. He was born on October 1st 1966 in Manchester, Jamaica. After moving to Canada in 1972, he resided with his mother, Bernice Bailey, aunt Daphne Bailey, and cousin Patrick Bailey in Etobicoke, Ontario. Bruce attended Vincent Massey & Silverthorn Collegiate Institutes in Etobicoke, Ontario. In 1993 Bruce received his Electronics Engineering Technician Diploma from Humber College of Applied Arts & Technology. Bruce pursued a lifelong career as a sales representative working for Sureway Electrical, Duralest Electrical & Watts Communications Inc.
Bruce enjoyed many hobbies & passions throughout his personal life. As an adolescent and young adult he played a number of team sports including hockey, football & baseball as well as weight training and cycling. Bruce also found passion in the arts as a musician, writer, avid reader of literature, artist and actor.
Bruce Butterfield is survived by his mother, Bernice Bailey, two sons, Nathan Butterfield & Daniel Butterfield, his aunt, Monica Bailey, a host of cousins, and other relatives in Jamaica, England, US, and Canada; and many friends to mourn his passing. He will be sadly missed. Rest in peace and may God hold you in the palm of his hands.
A funeral service will take place on April 27th 2022 at Richview United, Church 149 Wellesworth Drive. Viewing will take place between 10am-11am, and celebration of life service 11am-12pm. Reception to follow at the Jamaican Canadian Association, 995 Arrow Road, Toronto, Ontario, M9M 2Z5.

  1. My sincere condolences to Andrew’s family.
    I remember Andrew fondly from grade 7&8 when we attended Holycrest Middle school together. We would walk the same route home and he often carried my books for me. A few years back we caught up to say hello on Facebook. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Rest In Peace Andrew 🙏 😇
