Lucien Brodeur
1936 – 2022
Lucien (Lou) Adrian Brodeur was born on Jan 26, 1936, and passed away peacefully on July 20, 2022 at the age of 86.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 63 years Lucille; his four daughters Elaine (Dale) Repka, Lorraine (Neil) Dubord, Denise Brodeur (Joe Gulli), Michelle (Jerrold) Dubyk; his grandchildren Colten (Crystal) Repka, Mason Repka (Cara), Talon Repka (Ilana), Jill Gulli; and his great granddaughter, Fynley Lucienne Repka, as well as his family members and numerous friends.
Lou ©was born in Ponteix, SK to a family of nine brothers and three sisters. Shortly after graduating from SAIT, he started a successful metal fabrication business (I.M. Industries Ltd.) which he eventually managed with his brother -in- law and business partner Norm. Lou was a fun-loving and devoted family man; his wife, daughters, their spouses, his grandchildren, and great granddaughter were his world. An avid© player of sports, Lou sacrificed a few teeth to hockey and baseball in his younger years, and lost a few poles and balls to skiing and golf in his later years. Best known for his ‘fabricated’ story telling and his own brand of hilarious jokes, Lou always brought immense laughter and joy to those around him. He was a kind and compassionate man who volunteered his time to help and support many.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Westview Health Centre Homecare, Capital Care Grandview, and Edmonton General Continuing Care Center for their extraordinary compassion and kindness.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday August 05, 2022 at 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 200 Boundary Road, Spruce Grove AB.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lou’s memory may be made to the Parkland Food Bank, Box 5213 Spruce Grove, AB T7X 3A3 parklandfoodbank.org
