Peacefully, with his wife by his side, on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Bluewater Health, after a courageous struggle with Parkinson’s, Brian McBeth passed away at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Sheila for 50 years. Loving father of Laurie and Paul Webb, Leslie McBeth and Odin Cappello, and Linda and Jamie Nethery. Cherished grandfather of Ada and Renee Webb, Isla McBeth and Nora Cappello, and Ruby and Lucas Nethery. Dear brother of Kathy Davey (Peter) and Mary Ramsden (Bob). Predeceased by his parents Hicks and Vina McBeth and his siblings Betty Vanderburg and Bob McBeth. Brian was an electrician and process operator at Dow Chemical for 34 years. He was a founding member of Sarnia Underwater Club. Brian loved sitting on his front porch in Point Edward, spending summers at the cottage in Barrow Bay, and travelling, particularly to Barbados and Europe. Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Sunday, August 21, 2022 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A funeral service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Monday, August 22, 2022 at 11:00am. Interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Parkinson Society of Southwestern Ontario (cheques only at the funeral home please) or through online donations to the Walk for Parkinson’s at bit.ly/brianmcbeth.
