In Celebration of
Brian Cheung
October 29, 1983 –
October 6, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our son, brother, uncle, and friend, Brian; he was just shy of his 39th birthday. He is survived by his parents, Pauline and Stephen; his brother Jason, and his wife, Jane; Emma, his cherished niece; little Brianne, the baby niece he never had a chance to meet; and Molly his favorite Portuguese Water Dog. Brian was the life of the party; with his endearing warmth and sociability, he connected with people, forging lasting and meaningful friendships, near and far, that spanned the globe. He had a passion for soccer and loved refereeing at all levels of the game. He also loved traveling and exploring new places around the world. Brian enjoyed fishing every summer with his brother and was an avid sports fan, always cheering on the Toronto Raptors and Arsenal F.C. through thick and thin. Brian’s time was cut short far too early, but his kind, fun-filled, and heart-warming spirit will forever live on among those whose lives he touched.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to the neighbours, first responders, and emergency department staff at Credit Valley Hospital for their valiant efforts.
A visitation in honour of Brian will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022, from 4-8 p.m., at the Turner & Porter Neweduk-Erin Mills Chapel, 1981 Dundas St West in Mississauga. The Funeral Mass will take place at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2473 Thorn Lodge Dr. in Mississauga, on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 12:30 p.m., followed by a celebration of Brian’s life at a location TBD.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Brian can be made to Jumpstart (jumpstart.canadiantire.ca/pages/donate) or St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton Foundation (www.stjoesfoundation.ca)
