Munroe, Brian Alonzo – It is
with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Brian
Alonzo Munroe Age 71 of Little Dover, Guysborough County, on Sunday,
May 8th, 2022. Brian passed quietly with his
family by his side at Eastern Memorial Hospital,
Canso.
Born in Little Dover, Brian was the son of Isabel (Sampson)
Munroe, Canso & the late Lauchie Munroe. Brian is survived by
his mother, Isabell; his loving wife of 40 years Bernice (Wallace)
Munroe; his sons, Brian Glen (Alexandra), James Daniel (Jenny-Mae);
daughter, April Dawn (Jeff); his special granddaughter, Grace Belle;
and his sidekick Jake the cat.
Brian is a former fish plant worker and most recently a
retired lobster fisherman. In his retirement, he enjoyed gardening,
walking the boardwalk, listening to his old tunes, and being on the
water.
The family extends their sincere thanks to the Drs, Nurses
and Staff at Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso, the Palliative care
unit of St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish, and the
Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
At
the request of Brian there will be no wake or funeral, cremation has
taken place and a graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Friday, May
13, in St. Agnes Parish Cemetery, Little
Dover.
Family flowers only, donations can be made to the charity of
your choice. Arrangements are under the care of Dennis
Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Words of comfort may be forwarded to
