Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Brenda Marie young announces her sudden passing on Saturday October 22nd, 2022 at the Bay St George long term care centre in Stephenville crossing, NL at the age of 59 years.
Brenda was born May 26th, 1963 in Stephenville Crossing, NL to a loving mother Bernice Cormier and father Raymond young (predeceased) of St Teresa’s NL. Brenda attended St. Joseph’s high In St. George’s, NL where she made lifetime friends and many memoires. She moved to Ontario in the early years after her experience she returned home to Newfoundland with her family. Residing in St. George’s for over 40 years, she built a great landlord and tenant relationship with Curtis Foot and was a member of Tops where she made many friends and enjoyed winning prizes.
She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memoires her children: Roxanne Young (Leon), Jamie Young, C.J Young of St George’s, Melissa Young (Troy) of Saskatchewan, grandson’s: Kody, Dawson, Denver, Deacon, Daniel, Brody, granddaughter Addison, Goddaughter Tara Alexander, sister’s: Dale Cormier of Stephenville Crossing, Pam (Tim) Skinner of Belleville Ontario, Tara (Chris) Muise of Aidire Alberta, Tonia (Gary) Muise of Cold Brook, Chantelle (Shanny) Muise of Kippens, brother Gregory Young (Janelle) of Flat Bay Brook, nieces & nephews; Jennifer, Wesley, Travis, Natasha, Mason, Stephanie, DJ, Brittany, Garrett, Samantha, Conner, Emerson, Owen and Clair.
Brenda and her soul mate Pat Muise (predeceased) both enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching their grandchildren grow, listening to Brody sing and play guitar meant the world to both of them. Brenda was also predeceased by her shadow Sharon Blanchard- friends together forever.
Brenda truly lived life to the fullest, she will be missed by many friends: travel buddies Vita Lasaga (Brenda’s rock & soul sister), Maryada Garnier, Georgina Tobin (keep the road trips going girls), Dianne Young (childhood friend), Marlene Young (loved by Brenda as one of her own), Susan Alexander (the love & support given to Brenda; you’re much more than a friend), aunt Marlene Bennett (Merylnn) whom she had a special connection too , Aunt Lillian, Pat and family (thank you for caring and always being there your relationship was like no other), card crew: Bernice, Gail, Carol Ann, Darlene, Lillian, Marlene, Dale, Margie, Lori, Vita and many more over the years. She enjoyed going to bingos, family potlucks where she was surrounded by so many loving people.
The Family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to: Western Regional Memorial Hospital staff, Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital staff and the staff at the Bay St George Long Term Care Centre in Stephenville crossing Thank you for the exceptional care you provided.
Brenda spent her life showing care and compassion to friends and family and whoever walked into her home. You would never know how many people she touched throughout her lifetime. You will be missed, we love you mudder –R.J.M.CJ.
