Peacefully, at the Woodstock Hospital on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, Brenda Catherine (McDowell) Motum, of Tillsonburg and formerly of Mount Forest, passed away at the age of 76 years. Beloved wife and best friend of Leonard for 53 years. Proud and loving mother of her son Colin of Tillsonburg. Cherished grandma of Alyssandra of Edmonton. Dear sister-in-law of Arthur Motum (Ellie) of Northern Ireland. Brenda is also survived by her cousins John Law (Brenda) of Whitby and Linda and Kathy Wiggam both of Oshawa. Predeceased by her parents Stanley and Caroline (Mulligan) McDowell. Brenda had a passion for music. She was an avid piano player and served as the church organist in Mount Forest for many years. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. The Funeral Service for Brenda will be held at St. John’s Anglican Church, 46 Ridout Street West, Tillsonburg on Monday, September 12, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Father Osita Oluigbo officiating. Cremation will follow. Memorial donations to the Arthritis Society would be appreciated by the Motum family.
