Boyd, Lois Marie
It is with heavy hearts that our family announces our much loved mom, Lois Marie Boyd (nee Wright), passed away at the Meaford Long Term Care Centre on February 15, 2022 in her 87th year.
Lois was the daughter of the late Lorne and Elizabeth (nee Ferris) Wright.
She was the beloved wife of the late Vernon Boyd.
Lois was the proud and much loved Mom of Patricia Boyd-Miller of Collingwood, Isabelle Ridd of Meaford, Margaret Burke of Barrie and Valerie Hackett (Gary) of Collingwood.
She was predeceased by her daughter June Jansen and son-in-laws Ernie Jansen, Bill Ridd and Lawrence Burke.
She was the cherished Grandma of Greg (Karin) Miller, Jonathan (Allison) Miller, Amy (Ilia) Gouchtine, Amber (Jay) Cameron, Samantha (Sean) Driesel, Vanessa Jansen, Bill (Jane) Ridd, Frazier and Nathan Hackett, and Great Grandma of thirteen.
Dear sister of Bob (Laurie) Wright of Meaford and Charlie Wright of Red Deer, Alberta. She will be missed also by sister-in-laws, Elva Clarke, Marian Henderson and Lynn (Dave) Ralph. Lois was predeceased by her sister-in-law Jean Sewell and brother-in-laws Howard Sewell and Harold Henderson.
The family is thankful and appreciative of the care and support given to Mom by the attending PSWs and nurses over the years and in her final days.
A private family funeral service will be conducted at the Meaford United Church with interment following at Lakeview Cemetery in Meaford.
