Fisher, Bonita “Bonnie” Agnes – Bonnie recently celebrated her 74th birthday with most of her immediate family. She was extra happy to visit with her granddaughter, Alyssa who is sporting a “funny little (baby) bump.”
Bonnie passed away unexpectedly on Nov 4, 2022.
Bonnie was the first daughter of the late William and Audrey (Wood) Fleming.
Bonnie met her husband, Sprott in Pleasant Valley and married and had two sons. She remained in the area until 2016, at which time she suffered a stroke and became a resident of Glen Haven.
Bonnie was a homemaker, she loved music, knitting, reading, walking and Bingo.
In earlier years she loved camping with her family, dances and bluegrass concerts. She was famous for her biscuits and molasses cookies. She was a fun and loving person who shone when she met new people but most of all she loved her family.
Bonnie is survived by sons, Kyle and Ian (Kerri); granddaughter, Alyssa (Tyler MacDonald); grandson, Austin; brother, Elmer Fleming (Ann Stulac); sister-in-law, Jessie; brother-in-law, Phillip (Ruth).
She was predeceased by husband of 28 years, Sprott; sister, Velda Fleming; brothers-in-law, Ronald (Mable), Byron (Betty); sisters-in-law, Anna (Truman), Serena (Paul).
The family would like to thank the staff of Glen Haven for their continued care over the past 6 years as well as Aberdeen Hospital ER, ICU (Palliative Care), Dr. Alhazmi and Dr. Farrell – your empathy and exceptional care were so appreciated.
The funeral of Bonnie will be held in Sharon Presbyterian Church, Dean on Sunday, Nov 13, 2022 at 2 p.m.
Bonnie will be laid to rest beside her husband, Sprott in Hillcrest Cemetery, Upper Musquodoboit.
Reception to follow at the Upper Musquodoboit Fellowship Hall.
