Obituary of Bob McCauley
McCAULEY, Robert “Bob” Elmsley – passed away peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital, on Saturday, January 22, 2022 in his 91st year.
Bob McCauley of Pembroke, beloved husband of the late Ruby Mae McCauley (nee McLaren). Loving father of Joan Unger (Harvey), Alberta; Kevin McCauley (Caryl), Brampton & Sheila Rennick (late Mike), Pembroke. Loved and cherished by 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Son of the late George and Elizabeth McCauley (nee Prescott). Predeceased by brothers Gordon (late Norma) and Blake McCauley and by sisters Helen Pierce (late Donald) and Barbara Howell (late Tom). He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bob was known for being an active member in the Antique Car Club, The Pembroke Legion and he was also a volunteer Fire Fighter. He was a long-time employee and good friend to Herb Shaw and sons LTD and family. Bob is now reunited with the love of his life after Mae’s passing 3 years ago. Bob and Mae were married for 69 years and thoroughly enjoyed their life together. They spent many years travelling the world, enjoying time together at their cottage in Black River and snowmobiling around the Ottawa Valley.
Funeral Service at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 11:00 a.m., followed by burial at Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery. All are welcome to for a time of fellowship and refreshments at the Royal Canadian Legion Br.#72 Pembroke. Arrangements entrusted to Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke.
