FRANCIS, Bob….
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Francis, of London, on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at the age of 80 years, at home with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Linda for 56 years. Loving father of Tracy (Rob) Park and Kimberly (Greg) Francis. Proud Papa of Emily (Adam) Johnson, Robert, Finn and Reese. Dear brother of Barry (Audrey), Bonnie (Roc) and Bruce (Irene). Greatly missed by his sisters-in-law Gloria (Dave) Jackson and Sandy Grover. Predeceased by his parents Bob (2014) and June (2013). Remembered by his nieces and nephews, and his many cherished friends and neighbours.
Bob was a one of a kind man who made an impression on everyone he met and who made you feel special in his presence. He was most proud when spending time with his grandchildren, at the beach, on the snow hills or in the pool, he was always there. He loved working as an Insurance Adjuster across Canada and the United States for 50+ years, his time at the YMCA, and spending time with many lifelong friends. The family wishes to thank his doctors and especially Leslie Russell from the Bryon Family Medical Centre for all of her help and support.
Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 4-7pm at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 1pm, followed by reception. A private interment in Woodland Cemetery, London will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob’s memory to the Diabetes Canada, 1300-522 University Avenue, Toronto ON M5G 2R5, The Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 47 Squire Baker’s Lane, Markham ON L3P 3G8 or a charity of your choice.
