Obituary of Blaine Allen Weatherbie
Peacefully at the PEI Atlantic Baptist Home, Charlottetown the death occurred of Blaine Allen Weatherbie on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, age 81 years.
Devoted and loving dad to Peggy Weatherbie and very special poppy to Dakota Weatherbie. Blaine is fondly remembered by his special friend Marie Sullivan and her daughter Michelle Gill and special MeMe (Marie) to Dakota. Brother-in-law of Jim Kennedy, Roy Goodine, Marguerite “Marg” Weatherbie and Elizabeth “Liz” Weatherbie. Greatly missed by his many nieces, grand-nieces, nephews, grandnephews, cousins and his many dear and special friends. Predeceased by his parents William “Bill” Sr. and Priscilla (Dowling) Weatherbie; his wife Marilyn (McGee) Weaterbie; siblings Helen and Olga (died in infancy), Lorraine Flanagan (Jack), Shirley Reid (George), Leona “Bunnie” Kennedy, Theresa “Duda” McQuaid (Austin), Marlene “Chicken” Goodine and brothers George Weatherbie, William “Billy” Weatherbie and Ralph Weatherbie (Norberta). Blaine is also predeceased by niece Jackie Flanagan and nephews Leonard and Pat Weatherbie.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford from where a visitation will be held on Friday 12 noon until 2 pm followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Pius X Church at 2:30 pm.
Interment will take place later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
Memorial donations may be made online to the PEI Atlantic Baptist Home.
Blaine’s family extends its sincere thanks to all of the Staff of the PEI Atlantic Baptist Home for the care they provided.
