In memory and celebration of someone who brightened our
lives. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden
passing of our beloved father, son, brother, and friend.
Blain Francis Myatt, age 55, of Addington Forks, Antigonish Co.,
passed away on May 11, 2022, in Addington Forks.
Born in Antigonish, he was the son of Pauline Agatha (Mason)
and the late Frederick Francis Myatt.
Blain began his career as an oil burner mechanic.
Early on, he travelled to Cambridge Bay, Nunavut for work where he met
Bertha, the love of his life. They made a life together and
had two beautiful children. His family brought great joy and
happiness and they were by far the most important thing to him. In
Blain’s later years, he found a new passion and went on to
own and operate a sheet metal business. Although busy, he
always made time to spend with his family, making daily check-in calls
or visits with his mother and siblings. Blain was an exceptionally
caring, kind, and gentle man.
Blain enjoyed anything outdoors, but he especially enjoyed
golfing, kayaking, snowmobiling, and camping. He loved
watching a good game of hockey or having a round of darts with his
close friends. Blain had a great sense of humour and loved
to laugh.
Blain was and always will be immensely treasured.
He was known for his kindness and never hesitated to let people know
that he loved them.
Left with many fond and loving memories are his daughter,
Kendra, and son, Nathan; mother, Pauline; siblings, Andrea (Ronny),
Trina (Brad), and Fred; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and
friends.
Blain is predeceased by his soulmate, Bertha Maksagak; his
father, Fred; and by his older brother in infancy, Blain
Jr.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held
Friday, May 27th, from 2 to 4
pm in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street,
Antigonish. A private service will be held.
