It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved mother Georganne Bisson, after a long battle with cancer.
She leaves to mourn her daughter Tanya Bridges (Chandra), sons Jeremy Bisson (Kirsten), and Michael. She is also survived by her aunt Myrna Merriman (Roy), stepmother Luella MacDearmid, and many cousins. Georganne was predeceased by her husband Denis Bisson, father George MacDearmid, mother Nadia Adair, and step father Don Adair. She will be deeply missed by best friend Phyllis (Laurie) Denbow.
Georganne was born and raised in Brandon before settling in the Souris area with late husband Denis. She spent over 20 years working at Hillcrest Personal Care Home before retiring, eventually taking on a part time job at Sobeys deli, which she enjoyed so much. She enjoyed playing league darts and going on bargain hunting shopping trips with Phyllis. She loved her children and furry grandchildren dearly.
Mom was a pillar of strength and resilience throughout her life. She met every one of life’s challenges head on with her spirited stubbornness and determination. She loved unconditionally. Her laughter, wit, and smile will forever be missed.
Her children would like to thank Dr. Sopel and the wonderful nursing staff at Souris Hospital who were so compassionate and caring during her time there. Thank you to Dr. Duncan, Dr. Nayak, and Dr. Zhang. We would also like to thank Dale Zander and John Bisson for all that they have done for mom over the years. Thank you to Brenda Bisson for all of the support she has provided to us.
In keeping with mom’s wishes, a private gathering will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
