Bill passed away at the Kemptville District Hospital on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at the age of 92. Beloved husband of 69 years to Marilyn Henderson (Climer). Loving father of Dave Henderson and Pam Haslam (Tom). Cherished Grampa of Jake, Peter, Andrew and granddaughters.
Bill will be sadly missed by many cousins. Bill was the founder and operator of Henderson Furniture Repair in Ottawa. Bill was an avid fisherman, became a proficient wood carver, learned to fly light aircrafts and received his license at age 70. He was involved for many years in the antique car hobby. He took great pride in maintaining his house and property until his passing.
Family and friends are invited to visit the Kemptville Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry 805 Prescott Street, Kemptville on Thursday, January 13, 2022, from 2 to 4 pm & 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the Christian Reformed Church, 2455 County Road 18, Kemptville on Friday, January 14, 2022, at 11 am.
Following COVID protocols, attendance to both the Visitation and Service will be strictly limited to registered guests. To RSVP, please visit Bill’s webpage on the Funeral Home’s website. For those who can not attend, live-streaming of the service will be available on Bill’s webpage before the date of the service.
Burial will be held in the Spring of 2022 at Oxford Mills Union Cemetery. Donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
