Boyd, William Douglas ‘Bill’
Passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie on Thursday November 10th, 2022 in his 86th year. Beloved husband of the late Merla Boyd (nee McCreary) 2017. Much loved and sadly missed father of Scott Boyd (Kelli), Laurie Boyd, and Steven Boyd (Tammy). Proud grandfather of Tricia, Brock, and Trent (Ashlyn); great grandfather of Oakley. Loving son of the late Aldeen and Russell Boyd. Dear brother of the late Robert ‘Bob’ Boyd. In his early years he worked alongside his father at Boyd’s Luggage in Orillia, then he went onto work in maintenance at Canada Wood Specialties for many years. Bill enjoyed the outdoors, but his passion was in Playing Horseshoes, he played for many years in different leagues and met many friends along the way.
Bill will be dearly missed by his family and friends. In keeping with his wish’s cremation has taken place and no visitation or services will be held.
