Obituary
With her husband at her bedside, Beverley Sharon (Schnare) Corey passed peacefully into the presence of Jesus on March 29, 2022 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Beverley was born in Halifax, NS on November 18, 1947 to the late Robert and Edna (Giffin) Schnare. She moved with her family to Saint John in 1965, where she soon met the love of her life Harry.
Beverley was a lady of great faith, a devoted Christian who lived for the Lord. So many people waited with anticipation for her daily scripture and devotional posts on Facebook and it pained her whenever she was unable to do this. She loved her TV shows, setting up the PVR at the start of each week so as not to miss any of her food shows, Price is Right or Jeopardy. So many of her friends, family and neighbours have benefitted from her love of crochet, be it afghans, mittens, pillow covers, Christmas stockings, ornaments or slippers. For a woman who lived a modest lifestyle, Mom was privileged to enjoy significant travel experiences. Even with 2 bad knees she insisted we walk 15 blocks in New York City to catch the final seconds of the Rockefeller Center tree lit up. But she also loved her time at home with all of the people who considered her a mom to them. She will be remembered for a life that was always filled with patience, kindness, gentleness and love.
Beverley will be missed by her loving husband Harry and her children Daniel (Karen) Corey, Kimberlee Corey and Sandra (Robert) Upshall. She is also remembered by her brother Paul (Crystal) Schnare, sisters Marilyn Schnare and Dawn Watson, brother-in-law Gerald, along with grandchildren; Abigail (Seth) Worthen, Daniel Upshall, Keara Corey, Joshua Upshall, Aaron Upshall, great-grandchildren; Myles Worthen, Sidney Worthen, Leslie Upshall-Lischynski, Iris Upshall-Lischynski and Bryson Upshall, several nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts, all of whom she adored.
In addition to her parents, Beverley is predeceased by and now reunited with her cherished daughter Christa Beverlee Frances Corey.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation hours being held on Sunday, April 3rd, 2022 between the hours of 2-6 PM. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 4th, at 11:00 AM, at Calvary Temple Church, 83 Sydney Street (634-1688). A private family interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date.
