Beverley Joan Loken nee Wilson June 20 1940 August 19 2022

Obituary
Beverley Joan Loken (née Wilson) passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Friday, August 19th, 2022.
She is survived by her husband Jack; sons, Mike (Valerie), Kevin (Penny), and Steve (Gay); her former daughters-in-law, Susan and Nancy; her grandchildren, Shea, Tilly, Zane, Sarah, David, Andrew, Graham, Sofie, and Reese as well as her sister Barbara Beltramini.
Bev was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan. She met her husband Jack in 1960, married him in 1961, and supported him through medical school, working as an administrative assistant for US Borax in Saskatoon. She and Jack settled in what is now West Kelowna in 1971. She dedicated the next several years to her family, introducing her sons to the joys of white-water rafting, hiking, camping, canoeing, cross country and downhill skiing.
As the children grew up, she returned to work as medical office manager for her husband. She also assisted in the organization and delivery of continuing medical education for the medical staff of Kelowna General Hospital for many years. She retired in 2003 and enjoyed working in her garden. She also found great joy in following the adventures of her grandchildren as they grew.
Typical of how Bev is remembered are these words: “She was such a lovely person – a dynamo and I felt loved and cared for in her presence. Lots of good laughs with her and happy moments. I am honored to have known her.” – Jade Dittaro
