Beverlee Anne Porter 1946 2022

Obituary of Beverlee Anne Porter
Beverlee Anne Porter (nee Bond) 76 of Norval, Ontario passed away suddenly on May 2, 2022.
She was the wife of Robert, sister of Wayne (Sandy), Phil (Wendy), Doug and Wendi Turman (Bruce), the mother to Greg (Stephanie) and Doni-Lyn (Dave), grandmother to Kristen (Hayden) and Zoe (Liam), and best friend of 60 years to Morag Fraser. Favourite Cousin to Melanie Reed (Jeff Doupe) and honorary mee-maw to their children Shannon and Weston.
Angel, as she was known to many, never backed down from a fight she believed in. Phone calls would be made, letters would be written, and words would be firmly spoken. She was mission driven.
She was full of love and compassion. If you needed a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen, or just a hug to feel safe, she would be there. If you needed something she would find it. If you spilled red wine on your best blouse, just a call to the laundry queen and that stain would be gone.
If you ripped something, she would be off to her sewing room and if she couldn’t mend it, you would have a new one.
If you needed a yummy treat, a few hours later you would have enough baking for the next three months. Need a glass of wine? No problem.
Sunday family dinners were the best and the noisiest. The roast beef was rare, and the Yorkshire puddings and roasted potatoes were perfectly done. Doni-Lyn always got the crinkle, and Greg had to eat at least some of his peas. Robert sat at the head of the table and always had a toast and a kiss for his best friend and life partner.
Spoiling the grandkids was her specialty. She did everything from making them Halloween costumes to taking them to Europe. She showed them what it meant to be a family and to be a good person.
She was a fine cook and a prize winning baker, a seamstress, and a travel consultant and she was our family leader; she did it all with determination and perfection. And we all loved her so dearly.
Friends are invited to join the family in celebrating Beverlee’s life at the Jones Funeral Home – Trafalgar Room, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown, on Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m., with shared memories beginning at 3:00 p.m.
