Obituary of Betty Josephine Fraracci
Age 95, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2021, in Etobicoke, Ontario.
Betty-Jo is survived by her: son Chris and his wife Irene Fraracci of Etobicoke, Ontario; son Joe and his son Sam of North Palm Beach, Florida; son Todd and his wife Patsy Stevens and their daughter Serafina of Toronto; son Howard and his wife Leigh-Ann Cris of Owen Sound, Ontario; daughter Amy and her husband Jim Mammarella and their children Theresa, Grace, Victor, and Joseph of Vancouver, Washington; sister Kay Williams of Toronto; sister-in-law Mary Fraracci of Welland; and many nieces and nephews.
Betty-Jo was preceded in death by her: husband Freddy; parents Charlie and Bessie; and sisters Barbara Beck and Margie Crissey.
Betty-Jo was born in Port Colborne to Charlie and Bessie Howard on September 30, 1925. She graduated from Port Colborne High School. She married Freddy on August 30, 1947, and they raised their five children in Port Colborne. Betty-Jo and Freddy had six grandchildren. Betty-Jo loved life and was an active member of the Central United Church on Delhi Street.
In accordance with Betty-Jo’s wishes, cremation has taken place with arrangements entrusted to the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne.
A memorial service for Betty-Jo Fraracci will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday July 12, 2022 at Oakwood Cemetery, Wainfleet. She will be buried beside her beloved husband Freddy Fraracci. Following the graveside service, the Fraracci family will host a lunch for all mourners at Don Cherry’s Sports Grill, 3 Marina Dr, Port Colborne.
Betty-Jo loved children. Memorial donations in her honour may be made to the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund at UNICEF Canada, 90 Eglinton Avenue East, Suite 400, Toronto, Ontario M4P 2Y3.
