Obituary of Betty Jean Horton
Horton, Betty Jean (nee Huckle)
A resident of Tilbury, formerly of Blenheim, Betty Jean Horton passed away peacefully at the Tilbury Manor Long Term Care on Saturday, October 15, 2022.
She was the oldest daughter of the late John & Delina (nee Barnier) Huckle.
Betty is reunited with her late husband, Thomas Nathan Horton (2001).
Mother of Shirley Jinkerson (the late Stewart), Liz Jubenville (Norton), Nathan Horton, John Horton, Mary Harrington (the late Tim), BJ Spencer (Bob), Tom Horton (Tracey), & Bob Horton (Carmen).
Grandmother & great-grandmother of many grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
Sister of David Huckle (the late Dorothy), late Roy Huckle, the late Clayton Huckle, & the late Dorothy Huckle.
Survived by sister-in-law, Sherlene Huckle, & Ole Huckle.
Missed by many nieces, nephews & extended family.
Betty retired from Siemens, formerly FRAM, after over 20 years of Service. In her retirement, she volunteered with CHAPS as a driver for 7 years. Betty enjoyed crocheting and knitting, spending time with family and read. She loved to spend time on her computer, talking with her friends, and visiting with Peanut and son, Devin.
Family to receive friends on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at the Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim 2:00 – 4:00 pm & 6:00 – 8:00 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at the Funeral Home on Thursday at 11:00 am. Cremation to follow with interment in Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.
In memory of Betty, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Chatham-Kent.
