Colgan, “Betty” Louise Elizabeth nee: Schneider
December 13, 2022, Betty passed away peacefully at Gilmore Lodge, Fort Erie. She was 89.
Predeceased by her husband Delbert (1986), Daughter Donna (1961), her stepson Raymond as well as her siblings John, Alice, Edna and Paul.
Survived by her daughter Mary Lou, sons Edward and Dan (Becky). Her Stepchildren David, Kathy and Brenda, as well as many grandchildren and several great grandchildren. The family express their appreciation to all of the wonderful staff and friends at Gilmore Lodge for their care and compassion.
Betty was very active with St. Michaels women’s league for many years. She was well known for her incredible cooking and baking sills, from lasagna to butter tarts and everything in-between, everyone had a favourite. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was always quick to laugh. She was loved by many and was lovingly called “ma” by most of her children’s friends.
Cremation has taken place. Betty’s life will be celebrated at Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave, Fort Erie, on Wednesday December 21st at 11 am with a luncheon to follow.
