Obituary of Betty Clifford
CLIFFORD, Betty Gail peacefully at Hospice Wellington, Guelph on Saturday, October 15, 2022. Betty Clifford (nee Legate) of Kitchener in her 74th year. Beloved wife of the late Doug Clifford (2014). Cherished mother of Desiree Death (Kevin) of Elmira, Nicole Nicholl (Terry) of Kitchener and Mary Ann Embro (Jeff) of Bridgeport. Much loved grandmother of Heather (John), Brandon (Kelsey), Kayla (Ryan), Payton and Brooklyn and she was anxiously awaiting her first great-granddaughter Evelyn. Dear sister of Randy Legate (Christine) of Hepworth and Gary Legate (Marg) of Owen Sound and sister-in-law of Joe Clifford (Sue) and June Gibson (Brian). Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Wilmot ‘Peggy’ (nee Small) and George Legate, infant daughter Lisa, sisters Darlene Wilkinson and Bonnie Jones and brothers Bill Legate, Dave Legate, Don Drennan and Wayne Drennan.
She will be forever remembered by her unique and infectious laugh along with her great sense of humour.
Family and friends are invited to the DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME, Hepworth to share memories on Friday, October 21st, 2022 from 12:00 to 1:45 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted from the funeral home following the visitation at 2:00 p.m. Interment Zion Cemetery. Expressions of remembrance to the Alzheimer’s Society in memory of Doug, Hospice Wellington or a Hospice of your choice would be appreciated.
