Mrs. Bertha Marie “Betty” Wismer, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Wallaceburg, at the age of 83.
Betty was born in Port Daniel, Quebec and was a daughter of the late James and Clarisse (Roger) Hottot.
Loving mother of Bret (Connie) Wismer and the late Darryl Wismer and Rene Roger.
Sadly missed by her granddaughter Jamie (Tay) Huff and her great grandchildren Cadence, Benjamin and Aaliyah.
Kind sister of Madeline (Ron) Kerr.
Predeceased by her sisters Louise and Vicky and her brothers Patrick and Rene.
Betty was a licenced hairdresser and cosmetologist where she started her career at Dorothy Fleming Salon in Toronto. Betty also worked at Dominion Glass, Bunny’s Beauty Shop and St. Clair Tool & Die in Wallaceburg.
The late Betty Wismer rested at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg.
Following her wishes, cremation will take place.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Soup Kitchen may be left at the funeral home.
