It is with profound sadness that the family of Mrs. Betty Robinson announce her peaceful passing at Copper Terrace Nursing Home in Chatham Ontario on Sunday August 21st, 2022, at the age of 87 years. Beloved wife of the late Charles Frederick Robinson (Junior). Loving mother of Curtis Robinson of Chatham, Cheryl Robinson-Forde (Darcy) of Chatham, and Kevin Robinson of Chatham. Cherished Grandmother of Brittany, Brianna, Jason, Ashley, Brendan, Olivia, and Keenan, and cherished great grandmother of Remi. Predeceased by her stepbrothers Herb, Doug, and Roy Brown and her Aunt Dorothy Brown. Dear sister-in-law of Emily Robinson (the late Bill), Gwen Robinson (the late John), Bonnie Tatem (the late Albert), Imelda Dungy (the late Tom), the late Gloria and Earl Powell, the late Betty and John Matthews, and the late Danny and Noreen Robinson, and survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Paul and Peggy Robinson. She is survived by many dear nieces, nephews, and friends.
Betty was a devoted member of Union Baptist Church and a retired member of The Ladies’ Mission Circle. A special thank you to Reverend David Tatsu, Pastor Phil Sabine and Reverend Will Hawk; Sister Jean Simmons, Sister Rosemary Ellsworth, Sister Sarah Tewkesbury, Brother Steven Simmons and entire family; Deacon Earl and Sister Sharon Knight and family; Deacon John and Sister Brenda Travis and all who visited with Betty at the nursing home.
Family and friends are invited to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington St. West, Chatham, 519-352-2710, on Thursday August 25th, 2022, with visitation from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 pm with Rev. David Tatsu officiating, assisted by Pastor Phil Sabine. The funeral service will be livestreamed. A link to follow.
