Bernice’s Obituary
SAULNIER, Bernice – Age 92 of Saulnierville, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2022 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Annapolis Valley, she was a daughter of the late Bill and Evangeline (Theriault) LeBlanc.
Bernice was a very kind and compassionate person who took care of many people throughout her life, starting at a very early age. She cooked for the children of Jean Marie Gay School and the priests of Meteghan River and Lower Saulnierville for many years. Her hobbies were gardening, both vegetable and flowers. She was also a member of Les Dames Patronnesses. Bernice always made time for her children, their families and friends; she loved having their visits anytime. Everyone was always welcome in Bernice’s and Pius’ home. She traveled with her husband, Pius, and their children for his work. This took them to Halifax, New Brunswick and Newfoundland.
Bernice is survived by her children, Julien (Simone), Anne (Roger) Saulnier-Tidd, Robert (Theresa), Gilles and Paul (Yvette), all of Saulnierville; grandchildren, Adrien, Nathalie, Darren, Jason, Trina, Roger and Renee; step-granddaughter, Kelita; great-grandchildren, Ligaya, Nigel, Madison, Joel; step-great-grandchildren, Trinity and Ellie.
She was predeceased by her husband, Pius; sisters, Pauline and Odile.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Meteghan Funeral Home. A private funeral service will be held at a later date followed by burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Saulnierville.
Donations in memory of Bernice may be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
