Bernard (Bernie) Lourance McCarthy, 55, of Leitches Creek, passed away unexpectedly on February 18, 2022.
Bernie was born August 13, 1966, in Hingham, Massachusetts, to the late Bernard and Marjorie (McLean) McCarthy of New Waterford.
Bernie followed in his father’s footsteps and became a carpenter apprentice and spent most of his life working in construction. He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local 1588. Cars and music were his passion.
He is survived by his sons, Mitchell and Corbin, and his daughter Brae, as well as his sister Bernetta and brother Kevin.
Cremation has taken place and a service will be held at a later date.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave, New Waterford, 902-862-7500.
