1923-2022
Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital, Carbonear on
Sunday, May 29, 2022, Thomas Bernard Hyde of Red Head Cove, aged 99
years.
Predeceased by his wife, Clara; parents, Arthur and Ellen; brother,
Michael; and sister, Winnie.
Left to mourn son, Douglas (Alemina); son, Howard (Rosann); daughter,
Hazel North (Ron); sister-in-law, Theresa Pelletier;
grandchildren: Dean, David, Denise, Darrell, Damian and Derek;
great grandchildren: Avery, Olivia, Caitlin, Maggie, Hayley, Hillary,
Nolan and Chloe; as well a circle of extended family and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff of Perlican Terrace for their
care for their father while he was a resident with them.
Also a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Wilkinson
Memorial Health Centre, Old Perlican and of the 7th floor at the
Carbonear General Hospital, Carbonear.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation at Hopkins’ Funeral Home, Old Perlican on Wednesday, June
1, 2022 2:00 pm. to 4:00 pm. and 7:00 pm. to 9:00 pm.
Funeral service to take place on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 11:00 am.
from Hopkins’ Funeral Home Chapel, Old Perlican.
Interment to follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Bay de Verde.
The family requests that masks be worn by those attending the
visitation and funeral service.
