MALONEY, Bernard – Bernie died in his 92nd year on Saturday, March 5, 2022 in the Cornwall Hospital. He is survived by: his wife of 66 years Berna (Cameron); his children, Wayne (late Gertrude) and Karen (Danny McDonell); his grandchildren, Alison (James Sinnett), Laura (Max Braden), and Christine; and five great-grandchildren, Ellie, Hunter, Parker, Vince and Troy. He was predeceased by his parents, Matthew and Stella (O’Keefe). He was the oldest of 11 siblings: Wilfred (late Evelyn), Sister Hilda, late Oris (late Bert Beaudette), late Inez (Grant Cameron), late Marie (Percy Beaudette), Gerald (late Gretta), Hazel (Gerald MacDonald), Catherine (Peter Konink), Stuart (Denise), and late Bert. Bernie started his company, B. J. Maloney Construction Ltd. in St. Andrew’s West, in 1956 where he worked until he retired. On retirement he enjoyed travelling, visiting with family and friends, reminiscing over his past endeavours, and spending 24 winters in Florida. He was a supportive husband, a caring father, grandfather, uncle, and friend to many. He was a generous and loyal man with a great sense of humour. He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. Family and friends may visit on Friday, March 11, 2022 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt St, Cornwall ON. A Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, 17298 Country Rd 18, St. Andrews West. Online condolences may be made at: www.wilsonfuneralhome.ca
