Bernadine R. McLean
1935 – 2022
Bernadine Roberta McLean, wife of the late Harold A. McLean of Miramichi passed away at Bridgeview Hall, Shannex on December 1, 2022 at the age of 87.
Born in Curryville, Albert Co., NB, on April 21, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Aubrey and Jean (Mitton) Smith. She was a retired employee of Esty Manor Seniors Complex. She loved being a Sunday School Teacher and a part of the prayer group.
Bernadine is survived by four daughters: Heather Flanagan (Percy), Carla Walsh (Bill), Lana Loggie (Bruce) and Marsha Sweezey (Kirk) all of Miramichi; one son, Lyle McLean (Helene) of Miramichi; eight grandchildren: Tianna, Nicholas, Mitchell, Robert, Alexis, Janessa, Jessica and Emma; two great-grandchildren: Maya and Aubrey; two sisters: Violet Blakney of Moncton and Mary Hogan of Riverview; several sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, Harold A. McLean, grandson Evan McFarlane and brother, Leroy Smith.
Visitation will occur at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will occur at The Point Church, 582 King George Hwy, Miramichi on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 11 am with Pastor Kevin Matthews officiating. Interment will be in Bayside Christian Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Point Church or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
