Bernadette Rose MacLean 1947 2022

MacLean, Bernadette Rose, Ohio, Antigonish
County. It is with great sadness that the
family of Bernadette Rose MacLean of Antigonish and formally of Ohio,
Antigonish County, announce her sudden passing at the QEII Hospital in
Halifax, after a brief illness on August 12, 2022 at the age of 74
years.
Bernadette was born in Antigonish to the late Dennis and Mary
(Bingley) Bray.
She was a long-time employee of the Bergengren Credit Union,
retiring in 2012. Bernadette was a very caring and compassionate
person, always thinking of others. She was so comfortable and happy
living with her best friend and brother, Darrell, for the last two
years. She enjoyed her regular card games with Darrell and her sister
as well as caretaker, Gail. She also loved her new tablet and
discovering new movies and television series on Netflix and having
movie marathons with her siblings.
She is survived by her brothers, Darrell Bray, Kenton Bray
and Jack MacPherson. As well as her sister Gail (Kevin
MacDonald) as well as many nieces and nephews. A special
thank you to her niece, Julie MacDonald, for her daily visits and
compassionate care during her final days.
She was predeceased by her husband Allie MacLean; brothers:
Bucky Bingley, Trevor Bray, Andy Bray; sister, Denise
Bray.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will be
held in St. Joseph’s Church, St. Joseph’s on
Thursday at 10:30 am with Father Bernie MacAdam presiding.
Burial in the parish cemetery.
The family would like to thank the medical staff at St.
Martha’s Regional Hospital and the QEII Hospital for their
care and kindness to Bernadette. Online
