Obituary
Surrounded by her loving family, Bernadette Marie Pike peacefully passed away on Sunday, March 27th, 2022 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in her 75th year.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband Ron, of 47 years, son Paul (Elizabeth), daughter Christine Dunne (Derrick), grandchildren Eva & Aaliyah Pike, Emily & Avery Dunne, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; too numerous to mention.
Also left to mourn are her brothers Bernard (Linda), Richard (Sol) and Carl (Linda), sisters-in-law Ann (late Gerald), Sharon (late Eugene), Carol (late Eddie), Cecile (late Patrick), Carol Ann Weldon (Stuart) and brother-in-law Claude Pike (Grace).
Bernadette is predeceased by her parents Gerald (1962) & Rebecca (nee Newhook) (1980) McHugh, siblings Reginald (Gertrude), Geraldine Foley (Carleton), Gerald, Eddie, Patrick, Julia O’Neill (Owen), Eugene, bother-in-law Ernest Pike (Evelyn), and Robert Pike (Elizabeth).
Despite Bernadette’s health struggles over the years, she continued to smile, to be selfless, kind and compassionate, always wanting to help (and feed) others. Her family were her life. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home on Thursday, March 31st, 2022 from 2 pm – 4 pm, from where the service will take place immediately after in the Country Haven Chapel. Due to COVID, we kindly request face masks to be worn. Cremation has taken place.
Many thanks to the staff and friends at Lohnes Complex with whom she resided for the past 3 years, Long Term Care and Western Memorial Regional Hospital. We are eternally grateful for the care and compassion shown to our beautiful Mother.
